Plusieurs familles ont illégalement envahi et occupé la Résidence du Lac Rose, située à 3 km du Lac Rose. Ces maisons faisaient partie du programme “100 000 logements” du précédent régime. Les occupants proviennent de zones telles que Tivaouane Peulh, Niague, Keur Massar et Cité Socabeg.
Selon les squatteurs, ils ont été informés que ces maisons appartenaient à l’ancienne Première Dame Marème Faye Sall et que le Président Bassirou Diomaye Faye les avait offertes gratuitement. Ils se sont installés malgré l’absence d’eau et d’électricité.
Un occupant témoigne : “Nous sommes venus dès que nous avons eu vent de l’information, et c’est parce que nous n’avons pas de logement et nous sommes désespérés. J’habitais à Tivaouane Peulh, mais depuis 2017, ma maison a été démolie et je n’ai pas où habiter avec mes enfants.”
Cependant, le promoteur propriétaire, Babacar Chimère Diouf, dénonce fermement ces actes qualifiés de “banditisme”. Selon lui, les informations sur l’appartenance du site à Marème Faye Sall sont “complètement erronées”. Il affirme que c’est lui qui a construit cette résidence, connue sous le nom de “Résidence du Lac Rose”.
Face à cette invasion illégale, les autorités, notamment la Gendarmerie, le Préfet et le Sous-préfet, ont dû intervenir pour expulser les squatteurs, y compris ceux qui occupaient les maisons depuis cinq ans.
