L’état avancé de décomposition du corps de Fulbert Sambou n’a pas permis de procéder à l’autopsie voulue par les enquêteurs pour déterminer les circonstances exactes de son décès. Une information judiciaire a été ouverte par le juge du troisième cabinet pour faire toute la lumière sur cette affaire, et Fulbert Sambou a depuis été identifié et inhumé par sa famille.
