L’Association des femmes magistrates du Sénégal (AFMS) a invité le président de l’Union des magistrats du Sénégal (UMS) à une réunion pour discuter des conclusions des Assises de la justice. L’un des sujets abordés sera la proposition potentielle d’ouvrir le Conseil supérieur de la magistrature (CSM) à des personnalités extérieures à la magistrature.
Cette suggestion, promue par le Président Diomaye Faye et soutenue par des organisations de la société civile, rencontre une opposition notable parmi plusieurs magistrats.
Selon plusieurs sources médiatiques, certaines magistrates expriment leur mécontentement en privé, ce qui pourrait provoquer des tensions avec l’exécutif.
Dans ce contexte, l’AFMS a programmé une réunion avec le président de l’UMS pour le mercredi 31 juillet, dans la salle 4 du Palais de justice de Dakar, comme rapporté par L’Observateur. Ces discussions visent à apaiser les tensions en prévision de l’Assemblée générale de l’UMS prévue pour le 10 août.
