Une scène d’une violence inouïe s’est déroulée dans le quartier de Santhie 2 à Joal. F. K Diagne, une mère de famille, a été sauvagement battue par son fils A. Ka, qui l’a également gravement blessée avec une pierre.
Selon les informations recueillies, le drame a commencé lorsque F. K. Diagne est rentrée chez elle pour trouver son téléviseur et d’autres biens de valeur dérobés. Lorsqu’elle a exigé leur restitution, une violente altercation a éclaté entre la mère et le fils.
Au cours de la dispute, A. Ka s’est déchaîné contre sa propre mère, la frappant violemment et la laissant gravement blessée au sol. Malgré les appels à l’aide de F. K. Diagne, son fils n’a pas hésité à lui jeter une grosse pierre, la blessant grièvement au genou. Ce n’est que grâce à l’intervention rapide des voisins que la mère de famille a pu être secourue et conduite à l’hôpital de Joal.
Le lendemain, F. K. Diagne a porté plainte contre son fils à la gendarmerie locale. Arrêté, A. Ka a reconnu les faits sans exprimer le moindre remords. Il a justifié son geste par le harcèlement de sa mère et sa volonté de le renvoyer de la maison à cause de sa consommation de drogue.
Après sa garde à vue, A. Ka a été déféré au parquet de Mbour pour répondre de ses actes de violence envers sa propre mère. Cette tragédie familiale n’a pas manqué de susciter l’émoi et l’indignation dans la communauté de Joal.
